Growing up in the streets of Brooklyn, New York the group In-Da-Street was formed. The trio which consists of three cousins Nelson “Buggsy” Arzon, Jariel “Jay Lyricz” Lopez and Edwin “E-Z” Rodriguez have been together as I.D.S since 2002. The style that is being created by the group is one of which not many can compare. They have been influenced by some of the most talented figures in the industry of our time. I.D.S is looking to reach levels of achievement that have not been met. The style of music that they are representing is of the new era a little hip hop feel with a Spanish twist. There body of work has been embraced by many in numerous appearances and performances. Nelson “Buggsy” Arzon, was born on March 12th 1988 in Brooklyn, N.Y, Raised in the Bedstuy / Williamsburg area of Brooklyn taught Nelson how to appreciate the music as it was all he knew. He would listen to all genres of music like, Hip Hop, R&B, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and much more. This would only serve as fuel for the inner flame he had inside of him which has motivated him to become one of the best musicians. He is multi talented in every aspect. Nelson is a writer; he serves as the Executive Producer on all the tracks being made hits and is also the key element in directorial and editorial on all the videos the group has to date. His flow has been compared in a mixture between Big Pun, Pitbull & Noreaga. Buggsy would describe the bands flow like “The Caribbean In Da Streets”. Jariel “Jay-Lyricz” Lopez, was born on February 11th 1989 in Brooklyn, N.Y, Raised in the south side area of Williamsburg Brooklyn opened many doors of opportunity for Jay. As an adolescent Jay was always the life of the party always put the right words together which would serve to his benefit today. He brings the versatility to the group blending his Dominican flow which crashes to perfection with his Puerto Rican swagger; he brings the diversity in his flow merging both English with the Spanish in his lyrics. Jay knew that with his tight wordplay and the Spanglish flow would serve as a driving force for all nationalities. His style has been compared in a mixture between Cassidy, Fabolous & Jay-Z. Edwin “E-Z” Rodriguez, was born on January 15th, 1978 in Brooklyn, N.Y, Hailing from Marcy Projects in Brooklyn E-Z has made himself a lyrical component in the I.D.S movement. He brings the Latin feel to the hood. As one of the founders of the group E-Z also takes control of the boards as a producer / M.C. / DJ. He had put out a solo mix tape for all his fans to enjoy before his establishing of I.D.S. It has been a lot more special for E-Z to join his cousins on this crusade as they will now call it a dynasty. His flow has been compared in a mixture between Ghostface, Beanie Segiel & Diddy. E-Z lives by the motto of his mentor Jay-Z “He who hesitates has lost”-Jay-Z. In-Da-Street is a movement, which is represented by the streets for the streets, bringing the old 90’s tempo back to the essence of hip hop. We want the world to “hear it right and play it loud”-I.D.S.
