About Me:
EX-MIL, born Brendon James (Dont tell nobody), was born in Queens, New York. He shortly after moved to Richmond,VA where he now lives. At a very early age EX-MIL began showing an interest in music, especially playing the drums. He soon began playing the drums in church and for local gospel groups. A slight change in direction showed EX-MIL the hip hop scene where he found his first love, the almighty MPC 2000. Later EX-MIL joined the Army, went to Germany amongst other countries and fought in Iraq. Upon completion of his Iraq deployment he decided to get out of the Army while he still could, hence the alias EX-MIL. Once arrived back in Richmond,VA, EX-MIL lost his MPC in an accident R.I.P. baby. (I miss her) Now he uses an assortment of music programs such as Logic Pro 8 Studio and Pro Tools because nothing new feels like his old MPC. Since being in Richmond EX-MIL has tried working with local acts but for Richmond being the capitol city the music scene is sparse at best. Well unless youre into alt rock. Being that the hip hop scene isnt really here he has turned to sites such as urbmob and myspace to get the music heard. So go on a journey with EX-MIL and be one of the many people that willl be able to say. "I remember when I could get an EX-MIL beat for cheap"
