About Me:
My name is CASHIUSGREEN. I’m 18 years old. The name derives from Muhammad Ali’s name “Cassius Clay”. Since he was known as the greatest boxer, I kind of wanted to flip that into the hip hop scene and into my persona. So, I like making money and I want to be the greatest person doing it, mix that with Cassius and you get CASHIUS, and I make money so I added the green. Which is how I came up with my name which means the greatest money maker. But music, I love it. There’s so much I can say about it but it’ll take too much of your time. I started listening to it at a very young age because my dad was a DJ, so he had so many different kinds of CD’s lying around. I listened to them on a daily basis. And that cycle just adapted to me as I got older. Then I really got serious when I got to high school. I seen all the seniors free-styling everyday during lunch, and it was the greatest thing. And I would kind of feed off of them. My big inspiration was a senior named Armand “Prozpect” Jones (RIP), he would come to school everyday with big earphones and a notepad. And I did the exact same thing after I seen him. I was raised around gangster rap, but really fell in love with the east coast/mid-west hip-hop vibe. MC’s like: Common, Lupe, Kanye, A Tribe called Quest, and Nas really inspired me to love HIP-HOP for what it is. I make music that I love, music from my heart and my life, but music people can vibe to and relate to. I LOVE HIP-HOP. CASHIUS GREEN
