The son of a soldier, SE’VON moved around for much of his childhood, finally settling down in the suburbs of Detroit. Detroit proved to be a very different world for SE’VON. SE’VON was faced with having to dodge drug dealers, boosters, gang bangers and hustlers. Growing up in a single parent home, and often slipping the protective eye of his mother, the temptations of the Detroit streets began to entice SE’VON. Nevertheless, SE’VON made up in his mind that the temptations of the streets were not going to dictate his fate, but he would. SE’VON turned to music. SE’VON spent all of his free moments with his notebook and pen in hand scribbling down his thoughts. This began laying the foundation for SE’VON’s future career. SE’VON is a true hip hop artist. He cuts through all of the glamour and glitz often associated with the hip hop world, and creates and delivers the true essences of hip hop in all of his music. SE’VON’s music is a combination of all things passionate, truthful, and real. His music encompasses the thoughts, feelings, struggles and ideals of people of many backgrounds, and represents the rebirth of a much-needed change with the entertainment industry.
